Public Platform now has the ability to generate image alt text suggestions using AI.

This functionality works as "human in the loop", so suggestions can be edited as required by content editors prior to being saved.

The functionality adds a new page to sites, listing all images which do not have alt text set for them:

Content editors can manually enter alt text, or click on a button to generate alt text using AI. Suggestions happen dynamically and return in seconds:

The suggested alt text can then be edited as required:

This functionality makes setting alt text less arduous and will help sites remain accessibility legislation compliant.
