Some information pages benefit from having related news posts embedded in the content to show users the latest on what's going on. To facilitate this, Public Platform has had a News Feed block added to it. By default, this block shows a row of the latest news posts, but you can also set it to only show news posts of a certain category.
To embed a news feed on your page:
- Add a new block.
- Select the News Feed block from the list of blocks.
- If necessary, click the gear icon in the block toolbar to select a category of news post to display.
- You can obtain the category number by going to the News Category taxonomy page at /admin/structure/taxonomy/manage/news_category/overview and seeing what number row the desired category is on.
- Enter the category number and click Update.
